Little Qinglong

It's the older sibling of my little Purple Feilong: The Qinglong! He's been around since about last September, but I never got a chance to put pictures until now! I used him as reference for the basic body shape when I was making my Purple Feilong in clay form. They're roughly the same size, except The Qinglong is more coiled up and The Purple Feilong has two pairs of wings that make it look bigger. The last picture is the two siblings together!

The Qinglong is a blue or Azure Long (Chinese Dragon) that is one of the symbols for Chinese Constellations along with The Vermilion Bird of the South, the White Tiger of the West and The Black Tortoise of The North and The Huang (Yellow) Long at the Center. It represents the East and Spring.

So I named my little Long after The Qinglong because he's blue and he used to guard this jar of mines with origami lucky stars, but now has gone to live with his younger sibling. I might still post a picture of him in his jar someday...
